Connecting Connecticut with UConn Extension is a podcast that explores the programs and resources we offer through UConn’s College of Agriculture, Health and Natural Resources. Extension is an organization for everyone here in Connecticut. Whether we live in a town with 1000 or 100,000 people the programs UConn Extension provides are impactful and beneficial. How do physicians incorporate ideas of One Health into their work? This question will be answered in this episode of One Health, One Community through my discussion with Dr. Salazar, the chair of the Department of Pediatrics and a professor of pediatrics at the UConn Medical School. He is a physician-in-chief at Connecticut Children's Medical Center and provides a unique perspective on the topics of One Health while also providing suggestions for students to get further involved with One Health.
